When reporting a technical issue, please include your device type, operating system version, GuardMe app version, and a short description of what happened — it helps us resolve your issue faster. You can also send diagnostic logs directly from the app via Report an Issue or Send Support Logs.

How do I enable protection?

Open GuardMe and turn on protection from the main screen. The app configures your device automatically. The first time you enable it, your operating system will ask you to approve a VPN or DNS configuration — this is required for GuardMe to filter DNS traffic on your device.

Why does GuardMe ask to add a VPN configuration?

GuardMe uses your device's VPN interface to route DNS lookups through GuardMe's protective resolvers. Your traffic is not sent through a remote VPN server — the configuration exists only so GuardMe can check the sites you visit against its threat database in real time.

A site I trust is being blocked. What do I do?

When GuardMe blocks a page, the warning screen gives you the option to proceed anyway. Your choice is recorded anonymously and helps us reduce false positives. If you believe a site is incorrectly flagged, email support@guardme.online with the site address and we'll review it.

Does GuardMe slow down my internet?

No. GuardMe only processes DNS lookups — the small requests your device makes to find a website's address. Your actual browsing traffic flows directly as normal.

Is my browsing history collected?

No. GuardMe never stores your browsing history, and no personal data is collected or sold. DNS queries are processed in real time to check for threats and then discarded. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions purchased through an app store are managed in your app store account's subscription settings. Subscriptions purchased on the web can be managed from the link in your receipt email, or by contacting support@guardme.online. Need a copy of an invoice? Use the resend invoice page.

How do I uninstall GuardMe?

Remove the app the same way as any other app on your device. GuardMe's VPN/DNS configuration is removed along with the app, and your device returns to its previous network settings.
